35 Articles In One Month. Whoa!

Heads up, this article doesn’t have anywhere much to go, it’s just more of a random thought put into text, rather than anything with too much of a point.

Anyway, for the month of February I managed to crank out 35 articles – that’s right, for the shortest month of the year I pushed out more content here than any month besides October of 2016. This is still something considering February is the shortest month of the year, and even then I missed a few days here and there.

It helps when you have some events being covered that can be split up into multiple articles, or things that are just too long not to split up – add in that I’m trying to keep content varied during these more in depth subjects and just the right mix of events and you get a rare chance for things to really spark up around here.

I’m not going to lie, it’s somewhat difficult to constantly find something to write about and actually care to cover the subject. Many articles have been pushed to the side as they stopped being as topical as they could have been, while others just didn’t work out how I wanted them to be when I originally planned them. Still, some things just happen suddenly and are worth covering, and those generally get priority over other planned article.

Then comes sheer exhaustion. Some days a person just doesn’t feel like it, ya know? I could set a schedule for myself, but then I feel like I would be stuck writing for the schedule and not for myself and those who read the content.

I try for one article a day. That maintains a healthy balance of content, and while I can’t always, or don’t always feel like writing something, getting something out at least every other day works just as well. It all depends on what there is to write about and how I’m feeling.

I’m sure other bloggers or content creators of all types know that, though, don’t they?

(oh, and as an aside, this is being written on the 2nd, but is getting post-dated to March 1st. I do that often to keep the post flow looking more natural. Eh, it works.)
