The plan was today to record the first episode of XadaraCast, with my buddy Prince Watercress. That didn’t go as planned. After an hour solid of us trying to record, take after take of the opening, and us having what we thought were 2 good takes until about halfway through, we decided to just quit for the day and plan again. It was planned to just be a rather simple, short, but effective recording where we covered a few topics and moved on, but it just didn’t work out well.
That’s a problem with many projects; they just don’t come out as well as I want them. I try to deliver at least a certain level of quality and while I will allow some mistakes or odd sections in a project, in this case, they were just too prominent and too numerous.
Podcasting isn’t just turning the mic on and recording, there is a certain style to it that some days comes naturally and other days takes effort. Today looks to have been the latter, as have many other days that Watercress and I have recorded. This happens with my YouTube video content as well – some days it comes smooth, while others, it’s a mess.
Soon, very soon, the podcast will come. It’s just not as soon as I was expecting. That’s how things are sometimes.
