December 2017 Xbox Live Games With Gold

Coming up on December already huh? Well, at least we know what the final Games with Gold titles for this year will be. That’s something, right? No? Well we’re looking at them anyway because, it’s just what I do around here.

On the Xbox One we have Warhammer: Endtimes – Vermintide and Back to the Future: 30th Anniversary Edition.

Hmn, a Warhammer game? Wasn’t expecting one of those to show up. Now, normally when I hear the name I think of the sci-fi space marine filled Warhammer 40,000, but this is the high-fantasy setting that 40K descended from – this looks like Gauntlet meets Dungeons and Dragons – might be fun, who knows.

Then we have yet another Telltale games game. Oi, are these just the cheapest in licensing to give away or something because seriously, there have been quite a few of these recently. I have nothing against them but for the most part I never know when I will get around to playing them. Then again, this one is Back to the Future, something I might actually have some fun with. Maybe. We’ll see.

On the Xbox 360 we have Child of Eden and Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death.

Child of Eden looks like it might be fun at night to wind down when I get tired of Destiny. Looks more pick up and play than anything else, that’s for sure.

Lastly, Marlow Brigs and the Mask of Death… that sounds like a short story about a guy I went to school with. No seriously, that’s nearly the same name as someone I knew in the past! Ah, it doesn’t look bad – might well be a fun enough little game, but geeze, does there have to be one of these cut-rate shooter adventure titles every month? Ah well, I’ll take that over F1 2013.

I wonder how long I can run that joke before even I get sick of it…

Have fun. Oh, and it’s worth noting, if you don’t like the games above… you aren’t alone. I really should address the hate these game selections get.
