It’s been quite a while since I shared one of these, so now is as good a time as any, right? Right. Here with tape 5 of the Game Players Game Tapes we get details on a selection of Konami games: The Adventures of Bayou Billy, Blades of Steel, Castlevania, and Track & Field II.
A smaller selection of games than what we are used to, but still, it;s something. The Castlevania section is certainly the most useful part of this tape, but as always the gameplay shown isn’t the most skilled demonstration: the fact that the player gets hit and loses health right after getting the “porkchop” in the wall is a comedic example of this. Still, good tips are presented, many of which I didn’t know about before watching this video, so, it’s worth studying this a bit if you feel like playing Castlevania sometime soon.
I would imagine the Bayou Billy segment is equally useful, but I haven’t played the game enough to be able to tell. As for the other game advice, I can’t comment on it at all, but as above I’d imagine it’s useful.
