March 2018 Xbox Live Games with Gold

Time to go over the March 2018 Xbox Live Games With Gold. This looks like it’s going to be a… fun.. month? Oh who am I kidding, this is one of the more strange ones. Let’s just get into it.

Okay, for the Xbox One we have Trials of the Blood Dragon and Superhot.

There.. was a Trials game, themed like FarCry 3 Blood Dragon? Okay, that’s kind of cool, but still, it’s a Trials game – that series where you try to manage a stunt bike in a 2.5D world. Sure, it looks to be the universe present in the Blood Dragon game, but… eh? I feel like I’m missing something here. I don’t know.

Next up is Superhot, absolutely the best game this time around. This one won awards, has a great fan following, and looks to play superbly – action only happens int he game when you move, meaning you can plan out your actions and, if you do things right, chain together quite the set of actions to perfectly take out the enemies around you. Kind of awesome looking, and it will be nice to get it free.

On the Xbox 360 we get Brave and Quantum Conundrum.

Brave. Brave? BRAVE!? You mean, the game of the Disney film, right? Oh yeah, that’s what they mean. Okay, I’ve heard this is actually a decent game, but seriously, for the vast majority of the target audience for the Xbox brand, this is just… nope. Not doing it. However, given the fact that the 360 has become the system the kids play on, now, this isn’t too crazy an idea – give the parents something for the kid to enjoy. At least, that’s one viable bit of logic to it.

Lastly on the 360 is Quantum Conundrum. Another puzzle game, similar to Portal. *yawn* It’s probably a fine game, but I’m just not interested. No comment, moving on.

March looks to have one of the most bland game sets yet. I’m not expecting perfection every month – far from it – but I do expect more than just Superhot to be anything I can even remotely get excited about.

That’s.. all I can say. At least there aren’t any racing games this time around, so there’s that, right?
