Neil Armstrong Narrates The Apollo 11 Moon Landing

This footage, taken from the interview shared in the previous article, is a combination of modern Lunar imagery of the Apollo 11 landing site matched up with the footage from the camera onboard the Apollo 11 Lunar Module. I had previously found the combined videos, but I had not seen until yesterday this version with Neil commenting, describing what is going on.

I’ve before shared the Apollo 11 landing footage, with detailed notation here: https://www.xadara.com/apollo-11-landing-from-pdi-to-touchdown/ . That being said, this video still goes hand in hand with that previous one to give a more all encompassing understanding of those last 3 minutes before that historic landing on the Moon.

Incidentally, if we had Buzz commenting over the landing as well we would have a complete retrospective on this event, but he’s been a little bit busy the past few years telling everyone to get their asses to Mars! Okay, really, he does acknowledge the landing, as anyone involved would!

Anyway, outside of that little side thought, here’s the video. As always, enjoy! Oh, and note how he disregards the 1202 and 1201 program alarms. Watch the video in last years article to see why those were, at the time, a little more worrying than Neil treats them now!

Enjoy!
