The Results Of The Sleep Cycle Reset Madness

This article is a follow up to my previous entry here.

I wound up going to bed yesterday around 1PM. By about 23 hours or so awake I just couldn’t keep going, and I had to crash. By 5PM I woke back up, and went back to normal operations for the evening. I wasn’t feeling my best but I was able to go out thrifting a bit more (I honestly found jack, though, same with today’s hunting) and eventually went back to sleep around 1 or 2 AM. I figured things were good, and I would wake up around 10 or so.

Nope. I wound up waking up at 1PM. 12 hours later. Ooops! To be fair, this was actually expected, I just didn’t expect it to happen when it did. I knew I would sleep super long, but I didn’t expect it to be for that time frame, which resulted in me basically waking up when I would anyway.

That’s not all that bad though – I feel great today, compared to most other days, and I woke up much more quickly than I would have normally. That being said, what I hope has happened is that while I woke up today at my normal time, my sleep trigger time will have been reset to more around 1AM rather than 5, and that, being as well rested as I presumably am, I will wake up pretty early tomorrow.

This is important since I have a super long day ahead of me Saturday, and waking up early while rested would be critical. Among other things, this will give me more time during the day to work on videos and articles, which is something that benefits you all.

I don’t really know how to finish up this article; it’s one of those matters of following up for whatever interest it is to those who read this.

My advice if you are planning to pull and all nighter to reset your sleep? Know what you are in for, and even though you may get nauseous and sick feeling, try to eat. I think that’s what hit me, a failure to eat and keep myself going energy wise. That, and just time and age – I’m not old, but I’m not a kid anymore either. It certainly was easier to do this in middle school than it is these days, for example.

Ah well, we will see what the end result is. Thanks for reading, more to come, probably tomorrow.
