2017 marks 50 years since the first flight of the Saturn V rocket, the booster which not only helped put humans on the Moon (6 times) but also put America’s first (and only) space station, Skylab, into orbit. In use for only 6 years, the Saturn V launched a total of 13 times, performing it’s mission nearly flawlessly for all but 2 missions – Apollo 6 and 13 both experienced engine issues on the second stage, but the missions still made it into orbit.

This short video focuses on the F-1 engines, discussing them in some quick detail. Each engine produced 1.5 million pounds of thrust and burned for about 2 and a half minutes, pushing the Saturn V second and third stages over 30 miles up before the second stage took over.
The video does have some errors, such as not mentioning the launch of Skylab in 1973, but as a very quick overview of the F-1 Engines, it does a fine job.
