Another video from Jim Browning today, this one another case of him hunting down the people behind a pop-up based tech support scam.
Sure enough, much like the previous tech support scam video I shared, a quick bit of detective work on Jim’s part gets him in touch with a very nervous sounding company owner. Really, about 5 minutes in, listen tot he guy – he’s beyond nervous, and stumbling over his words even more so than the average tech scammer.
JIm proceeds to inquire to the owner of the call center about the oh so typical tech support scam, and of course, in typical scammer style, he avoids the question and tries to divert blame.
All I can say is typical behavior for such. Give it a watch, it’s short and quite telling.
