19 Years Of Xadara

It’s March 17th again, isn’t it? Oh yes, which means this website, my home on the internet, is 19 years old! Hot damn, right? Right.

Well, need I bring up yet again the past 5 years and me writing far less than normal? I’ve mentioned that a thousand times before, but seriously, since 2020 I’ve not written nearly as much as I had in the years before, but blame the world changing, life getting upturned in some ways again, and again, and me just changing a bit as a person.

Still, I’ve not let this place truly languish. I’ve written as I’ve felt the motivation and, thankfully, after nearly 4 years of me being in a situation that I absolutely hated (thus killing all of my motivation) I’m finally in a far better place in life and as the weeks go on I feel my drive to put energy into the typed word returning, finally.

I would be remiss to not mention that in early 2027 this website turns 20. That’s a big deal itself — most websites don’t live anywhere near that long, let alone most of that time in one key form. I’m quite proud of what I’ve done here over the years, from the old forum days to the rough middle period to the early 2010’s shift to a blog, where it has stayed since then.

I do quite a bit under the “Xadara” brand. It is a personal brand and online identity for me, and while I have a half dozen other domains and web sites of all types out there, including the woefully outdated kurisuyamato.com, xadara.com is truly my home online.

More to come, as always.
