I don’t just pay attention to tech support scams. I find most any type of scam interesting, not just in the actual application of such and spreading awareness of these things, but also the back-end of these scams: where these people come from, how they pull off what they do, and how they skirt the law.
In this video, we have a man who lost quite a bit of money due to falling for the tactics of some very skilled scammers. Upon realizing this, he took to trying to get his money back.
The police were minimal help, ISP’s and Email providers were of no help, and HSBC bank seemed to just not care.
It took going to China, and further, for him to start getting answers.
