November 2017 Xbox Live Games With Gold

Looks like Microsoft released this list a little later than they normally would, but that’s okay. Here we have the next set of Games with Gold for November, 2017, and honestly, even I’ll admit, this is a pretty pathetic list.

Let’s begin:

On the Xbox one we have Trackmania Turbo and Tales from the Borderlands.

Oh boy, another racing game! That’s just what I wanted… racing, yeah! Okay, to be fair Trackmania Turbo looks kind of alright, but what’s this about 2 players controlling the same car? Is that something standard with the game or, what? I don’t know, and honestly. I don’t intend to play online to find out, if I ever play this one.

Tales from the Borderlands, however, might be nice. I am a fan of the Borderlands games, and this Telltale Games entry might be fun – I have heard good things about it – but of course, like every other Telltale game out there, it’s sort of its own thing, an oddball side entry; I’ll just have to take it for what it is.

On the Xbox 360 we have Nights – Into Dreams and Deadfall Adventures.

Nights. NiGHTS? Seriously? In 2017 I’m getting a re-release of a Sega Saturn game? Actually, I’m completely okay with that as Nights goes down as one of the best games for the system, and even today is supposed to be a rather unique game experience. I never have been able to get a Saturn, so this will be fun. I hope. I remember trying to play it at a friends place back around 1999 and not enjoying myself, but that could change here.

Lastly, Deadfall Adventures… oh boy, it looks like Pitfall with guns! Actually, this might not be bad. Many people are ripping on this one like it’s going to be absolute garbage and honestly, maybe not – a game doesn’t have to be from a AAA publisher to be fun, and while I don’t think this will be anything great, it might not be bad, right?

So, that’s really it – one of the more mediocre listings this past year. Ah well, almost anything else they offer can’t be any worse than F1 2013 right?

Happy gaming.
