Soyuz MS-09 Launch And Docking With The International Space Station

I’m only a month behind on covering this one, but I thought it might be nice with the recent sharing of the rollout of Progress MS-09 to share the launch and docking of Soyuz MS-09, since I missed covering it on time last month.

Soyuz MS-09 launched on June 6th, 2018, carrying Sergey Prokopyev, Alexander Gerst, and Serena M. Auñón-Chancellor for a 6 month stay on the International Space Station.

The launch itself was another by the books daylight Soyuz launch, and the docking occurred 2 days later on June 8th, 2018. The launch video does contain a nice shot of the Korolev Cross, a visual effect caused by the separation of the Soyuz boosters. I’m quite fond of the effect, and always enjoy a chance to see it, which clear daylight launches provide.

Otherwise, a pretty straightforward, by the books ISS crew launch. Below I’ll share launch video, docking video, and also like the previous article, the Soyuz booster rollout because why not right?

Enjoy!
