The Soyuz MS-10 Rollout

In what I think is going to become a trend here, it’s time to share a video of the rollout of Soyuz MS-10 to its launch pad at Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, a vehicle set to launch just a few hours from now as I write this entry.

I’ve mentioned before that I love the look of the Soyuz booster (really any R-7 based launch vehicle) and these chances to get up close views of the vehicle being prepared for its mission are just great. The chance to see the booster to scale against train cars and people really gives you a sense of both how big it is, yet how small it is compared to so many other launch systems in use today.

Enough talk, you know what’s coming – that awesome rocket footage that isn’t of it in action. Hopefully in a few hours this rocket will have done its job and the crew of Soyuz MS-10 will be safely on their way to the International Space Station!

Enjoy.
