After well over an hour of being down effectively globally, YouTube is back up and running as… er, well… as ever. While I’ve not yet seen any info on what the cause of the issue was, it does look like it was resolved, so we can all go back to watching whatever absurd junk we intended to. Great!
During that hour, however, Twitter, among other social media outlets, was abuzz with people discussing the outage, asking questions, trying to figure out and, most importantly, making jokes and memes regarding this. The hashtag #YouTubeDOWN took over as the dominant tag for the event (since that’s how we classify things now) and during that span it proved to be quite the bit of hilarious browsing.
I though it would be nice to, for the sake of it, just browse this tag and share the more hilarious posts related to this event.
