It’s Funny, I Still Haven’t Opened My PlayStation Classic

I thought some of you out there might find it a little funny, after waiting nearly a month for the thing to come in, and having it in my possession for over a week and a half, I still haven’t even opened the dang thing!

There’s a few reasons. For one, I’ve just been preoccupied with other things. The PlayStation Classic has been at the bottom of my priority list, to say the least. For two, I wanted to film the unboxing, for myself at the very least, and I don’t have the camera equipment set up and with other things going on that too has been low on my priority list.

The last major reason has been the fact that, as part of the reason I even bought the thing, I want to test every power supply I can find with the console to see for certain if it’s as hard as some seem to think it is to power, or if it’s as trivial as I’d expect it to be.

Seriously, you may think I’m focusing heavily on this, but there’s good reason — as mentioned before, one of the top articles on my site for nearly a year now has been my first entry about the console, and how it doesn’t come with a power supply. If that entry was no longer getting hits I wouldn’t care, but the fact this happens, combined with search terms such as “power ps classic” and “how to power playstation 1 classic” being how people are finding my article, well, it puts me in a position of nothing but a benefit if I were to try out everything I can and provide solid answers to those coming in.

Naturally, the additional hits for writing such an article would be most welcome.

Anyway, more to come, as always, once I get off my lazy butt and fire this thing up.
