It’s Been One Hell Of A Week

File this as another one of those “yeah I haven’t written anything in a while” entries. Yeah, it’s been a week since I last published anything here, but let’s be serious — it’s been, as the title suggests, one hell of a week.

Last Tuesday was election day here in the United States and while the final call hasn’t officially been made, with the crazy way our system works it’s beyond certain that Biden and Harris won. I’m still not entirely sure on how everything with my state and local voting went, but given just the national stage I can safely say I’m pleased with the outcome. I’ve got quite a bit to say on it but won’t turn this entry into a political one. I’m saving that for later.

Beyond that, I’ve had a few long days at work, which preempted any writing or gaming plans, hence the general silence. When you combine that with the desire to pay attention to the election as it happened my time’s been somewhat well sunk into other activities.

Lastly is the fact I’ve begun using the services available on sdf.org to my advantage, for what shell access to a BSD Unix system can provide. It’s been an educational experience which has also provided me with a few crazy projects to try. That all, of course, will come on its own time.

Yeah, it’s been one of “those” weeks honestly. We’ve all had our ups and downs, with a lot going on. Sometimes, even with our hobbies, we need another small break just to take time to reset. With that taken care of I hope to crank out more content than ever this week — so long as I can get my lazy self in gear.

That’s, of course, all to come. Stick around.
