December 2020 Xbox Live Games With Gold

December is almost upon us, which not only means we’re almost done with the year but we have one more set of games coming with Xbox Live Gold. The peanut gallery has weighed in with some strong dislikes on this video, but what do I have to say about the selection? Let’s find out.

The Raven: Remastered looks interesting enough. I’m not one to pass up mystery, but I have to question how the game actually plays as the clips shown and the description give you zero detail at all! Remember, this series is about the presentation of each game in the video (unless I already know something about it) so without anything extra to go on, I can literally say nothing about this! Who knows, though, it may be cool.

Bleed 2: Okay, this is more like it. An action shooter with air dodging and other mechanics I really get a kick out of? Okay, I’m down. This might damn well be something I give a genuine go to. I enjoy platformers, as most any gamer my age does, so why not give it a try, right?

Saint’s Row: Gat Out Of Hell: Okay, this one I know a bit about – it was a pretty popular stand alone expansion for Saints Row IV, and it looks pretty neat. I’ve still yet to actually play a Saints Row game but I’d imagine this one has to be a good one. Given how eccentric the Saints Row series has gotten it only makes sense this one would literally take place in Hell! hah.

Stacking: Okay, a game where you play as Russian stacking (or, nesting) dolls? You have my interest, as I like those things and I’m fond of Russian culture in general. While I’d imagine the average gamerbro won’t care for it, this is the kind of thinking outside the box which sometimes creates entirely new genres of game. We’ll see how this one plays, though.

And that’s that. Not the best assortment, sure, but about average. I’m pleased with this, I’d say. Now if only I ever found time to actually play any games anymore.

More to come, as always, and see ya in 2021 Games with Gold!
