For the 4th day of Shitsmas we get Ren & Stimpy: Fire Dogs for the SNES. We get a small take from the Nerd on the cartoon the game is based on, followed by a very quick look at the other games in this small series before the main subject, based on a Ren & Stimpy episode of the same name.
The game is basically a Ren & Stimpy themed arcade puzzle collectathon kind of game which looks to make decent use of the source material but, as the Nerd goes into in the review, it isn’t executed well — it’s one of those incredibly unforgiving games, and is likely one of those games with the rental market in mind – it’s a game made to be too hard to complete, so kids would rent it again and again!
The Nerd makes it to at least stage 2, but can get no further, and that’s the end of that.
