While browsing YouTube during lunch I caught a post from YouTube creator Atheist Junior, a fellow mocker of Kent Hovind, alerting us that the “KentHovindOFFICIAL” YouTube channel had been terminated by YouTube.
Absolutely fucking awesome.
His account has been suspended multiple times in just the past year, for various reasons, and it looks like once again, somewhere in his absolutely inane ramblings he broke terms of service ONCE AGAIN and that was the last straw.
It needs to be understood that, for those who have not seen any of his content, either directly, or his debates, or others commenting on his content (the aforementioned Atheist Junior being an amazing source of commentary on the mans abject insanity) then you won’t quite understand where the problems are.
To sum it up, he’s a conspiracy theorist of the highest caliber — beyond the idiocy that is the idea that the world is 6000 years old, he’s also a Sovereign Citizen previously convicted of failure to pay taxes, he’s been convicted of abusing his then “wife” by body slamming her, he’s promoted Covid-19 conspiracy theories, harbored convicted pedophiles at his kid-oriented park called Dinosaur Adventure Land, made known his opinions that the “government” should , to paraphrase, do away with those who aren’t cisgender or straight, and a whole hell of a lot that just can’t come to mind at the moment.
While you would think having this channel terminated would be a major win — and to a degree it is — sadly this still won’t stop him from putting more people in danger with his misinformation and greed. He has multiple backup channels, has a few other content creators feature him regularly, and of course has accounts on a plethora of other video platforms He certainly isn’t gone, but it is nice to know that a vast majority of his inanity since he got out of prison is gone, save for where it’s been archived either explicitly, or by virtue of people reacting to said content.
Good riddance. One down, a dozen to go.
However, we’re not done here. On one of those aforementioned channels, Kent has acknowledged the termination of the channel and made a 3 minute video regarding this, and to say it’s telling of his mental state would be an understatement.
