Alright, so, today I spent some time creating new featured images for AVGN episode reviews 1 through 51. It felt like an eternity, and I had a coffee-induced headache while doing it, but a nice chunk of my reviews now have new and, debatably, better, featured images, based on each episode as opposed to them all sharing one image per season.
Yeah, it’s a bit of a minor thing for quite a bit of effort, but that’s because, as stupid as it sounds, I take some pride in those reviews because, it’s such a truly absurd project. I can’t stress that enough that the very fact that I take it so seriously is what makes it so fun; I guess like the idea of a grown man being so angry about video games from his childhood, and how that’s so absurd it’s kind of funny. Or something like that, I don’t know, I’m just rambling here.
I updated the excerpts as well for about 20 episodes — that got tiring quick so I plan to get back to those later; the featured images are more of a priority at the moment, as are plans to clean up and improve some other more “key” articles: things I would want to regularly re-share or otherwise feature on, for example, a “must read” page.
I’m still aiming to get Monster Madness done this week, while also getting 2 AVGN episode reviews out. Yeah, it’s a Cinemassacre heavy time around here, but whatever gets me to writing regularly again, right? I’ve got a few other random entries on the agenda, I just need to get off my ass and actually write them.
