Time for another Monster Madness, this time Monster Madness 3, from 2009. The key focus this time around is all in the name — monster. Yep, movie monsters are the focus here, from King Kong to the Giant Claw to Leprechaun, it’s all here.
I dare say this was one of my favorite Monster Madness runs, but that may be because it was the first one I saw when it was new, smack in the middle of the incredible time that was AVGN Season 4. Sure, that’s nostalgia talking… which is funny, thinking I’m nostalgic for 2009 but hell, for the experience of seeing all this new? Yeah, I miss that feeling of when it was fresh and novel. It was exciting to, over the month of October, know I was getting a new video every day, all while the Nerd series was at its creative peak. Really took the edge off of the rest of life back then.
