It’s here we come full circle — Monster Madness X was slated to be the final traditional Monster Madness, and with that being the case I actually took the time back in 2016 to cover it as it was released. Well, more correctly in batches, and I didn’t have much to say on any given video, I just divided the run into 5 video batches and published an entry when said 5 videos were uploaded, with a final one on October 31st to accommodate the final video.
Being the, for the time, final planned Monster Madness in traditional 31 day form, James took a look at just about everything he hadn’t already touched on in previous years but seems to have wanted to. This year continued the trend of still images with James just live commenting about the films, but this time it was just James — no Mike, and instead of the pretty cool Halloween setup from 2015 it was filmed back in the Video Room. I can’t fully tell if it’s the old video room or the new one from his move in 2015 — I want to think the latter, honestly, but can’t be sure.
Whatever case, it’s a pretty well mixed Monster Madness, as I recall. He devoted each day of the week to a different theme, which helped in him covering a wider assortment of films and media, and I think it worked out nicely.
