Since it’s the beginning of a new week and I’ve barely written anything in half a month, I thought I’d do another typical update. This one’s a short one.
I spent the weekend getting back into the STALKER game series and remembering why I loved it as much back in 2007-2011, and still do now. In fact I’ve powered my way through Shadow of Chernobyl over the span of a day and am a bit of a ways into Clear Sky as I type this.
It’s just what I felt like doing all of a sudden Friday evening, and damn it made this quite the fun and intense weekend. Oddly, a survival-horror FPS would be a way I’d choose to “relax” but that’s just how it is. I guess it’s a matter of me being familiar with them that makes them a “comfortable” thing to get lost in, even if the actual gameplay is a different experience all together from what anyone would consider relaxing.
Right, now that I’ve excused pissing away another weekend where I wrote jack diddly shit I’ll try to make an effort this week to get a few fresh entries up. Keyword is try.
