Status Update – 20240707

Over the past week I’ve been on a partial vacation; one I’ve desperately needed. I intended to take time to write quite a few entries, as the past two weeks have been somewhat eventful in various ways, but obviously I didn’t get around to that.

I did complete San Andreas Definitive Edition, as well as get in a good number of hours with Guild Wars 2, so I certainly filled a gaming quota. However, I also had trouble sleeping and am feeling a little under the weather. Honestly I think it’s the fact I’ve not done much of anything in a week beyond the couple of work days I did have mixed into the vacation time (work a day, off a few days, rinse, repeat) so maybe my lethargy over the past 10 days off and on didn’t sit well with me. Who knows. Either way I feel just a bit too crummy to write anything major today, but I thought a status update would be a nice filler.

Still, I feel I got more behind the scenes stuff done, as well as use my time to learn some new things, like the basics of the I2P anonymous network — something I definitely want to get a better grasp on but have also found useful to a degree similar to how I use Tor for network anonymity. I hope to find a way to safely and properly integrate some of my own web presence with both networking methodologies as time progresses and I feel inspired to put in the effort. In other words, when I’m not so damned lazy.

Beyond that, I’ve continued to tweak Final Zone BBS and while I know it’s beyond ready for prime time and promotion, I’ve avoided doing such because, again, I’m super lazy.

Otherwise, honestly, my main focus is Guild Wars 2 on the gaming front, and hopefully over the next few days cranking out those delayed articles while they are still fresh on my mind and topical.

That being said, I end with a link to “The Charr Triumphant” music from Guild Wars 2, most famously used during the battle with my favorite dragon in the game, Tequatl the Sunless. Enjoy!
