Well, it’s 2026! How exciting. Honestly I rather like the feeling of an otherwise arbitrary number incrementing higher every orbit of the planet, far more than I do the honestly absurd holidays which precede this celebration of the calendar looping around. It makes for a good moment to reflect for me, and I guess that is the post here.
2025 had incredible ups and downs. While things on a whole were mostly stable, there were some momentary and some year long struggles which just had to be dealt with as they came.
2026 is looking to already start off with one recurring issue resolving, allowing me more potential in the upcoming months to finally work on some much overdue tasks. Certainly, at the very least, the stress being relieved will help me to simply be able to relax better than I have the past year, and most certainly should boost my creative output. That’s a win in and of itself, certainly.
Indeed, I plan on this being the year for me to get back to regular entries here, both new content, random quips as I see fit, and recurring sets of articles as in the past. I don’t want to speak too much on this, as I say this every few months, but in this particular case I say this coming from a point of optimism and not out of just a desire to revive this site. No, this time feels quite optimal for such, and by the end of January I’ll have a clue how things are likely to pan out in the early part of the year. If they go as I suspect, well, that will be great. If not, I’ll make things work as I always do, just, delayed even more so.
That all being said, right now I’m listening to some Eurobeat as I eat dinner, and will be firing up Guild Wars after this for a little session before bed. I’ve honestly got a ton to write about, and I intend to. Maybe not daily, as I did that one year, but far more often than before.
