Year Of The Rabbit

Today is Lunar New Year, and I’d be doing myself a disservice if I didn’t make the obligatory post for the upcoming lunar year which, in this case, is the year of the Rabbit.

Last year, which started in March (because Lunar calendars shift quite a bit and make things odd) was the year of the Tiger — I made a post titled Leap Of The Tiger where I symbolically made plans for the upcoming year based in the symbolism of the tiger.

Sadly, this didn’t come to pass as expected. Not more than a few months following that, a chain of events happened which left my life in chaos. One could say the tiger was wounded, but not dead. Far from it.

This means the idea of this year being symbolized by a rabbit, a prey creature that’s cautious and intelligent. That caution perfectly encompassing how I have been, and will continue to move forward in my life with regards to both people and situations; the intelligence reminding me to continue to plan my moves in life carefully.

I don’t have much else to say. The upcoming months will continue to be met with very cautious planning, but I’ve got a nasty habit of surviving most anything, and coming back stronger than before. This, in the long run, will be no different.

Let’s rock.
