Pacific Time the final Delta II booster launched on the last mission of the program to deliver ICESat-2 into a polar orbit to begin its mission of studying the Earth’s cryosphere. This launch marks the 155th Delta II launch, the 100th successful …

The Final Liftoff Of Delta II
At 6:01 A.M. Pacific Time the final Delta II rocket launched from LC-2 at Vandenberg Air Force Base carrying ICESat-2 and a small compliment of CubeSats into orbit. This mission is still underway – as I write these words we’re only 30 minutes into the mission, in a coast phase between burns of the second …

Delta II ICESat-2 Mission Profile
As is standard fare for a United Launch Alliance flight we have here the ICESat-2 mission profile video. What isn’t standard fare is that this is a Delta II launch. Not just any Delta II launch, but the final flight of the Delta II booster. Yes. That’s it. This will mark flight 155, and the …

Angry Video Game Nerd Episode 45: Double Vision: Part 2 – Episode Review
Moving on from the explosive end of the previous episode, we have part 2 of Double Vision. Just as part 1 covered the Intellivision, part 2 covers the Colecovision, a mighty system in its own right. Released in 1982, the Colecovision came a few years after the Intellivision, and well into the life of the …

Blogging Problems – Being Topical, Or Writing About Topics That Last?
I’ve got more normal content coming tomorrow, but for today I wanted to cover a thought I just had with regards to what I write on any given day; a problem that most any blogger will understand and relate to. Should you write about currently trending topics, or about topics which have withstood the test …

So Apple Announced Some New Stuff Today. Good For Them.
It’s funny, over the past few months I’ve had quite an influx of older Apple computer hardware come into my possession – were I any other kind of person you would think I would have been all over the Apple announcements today, but nope. Don’t care. Not in a bad way, just in the “eh, …

To Schedule Or Not To Schedule
Here we go, another super rushed end-of-the-night entry, but I’m keeping my “one article each day in September” goal! I’ve been debating for pretty much the entirety of this sites heavily active period (read, the past 2 and a half years) the idea of running posts on a schedule. I’ve done this before, actually, with …

Angry Video Game Nerd Episode 44: Double Vision: Part 1 – Episode Review
This is the point where, from a historical perspective the Angry Video Game Nerd start to really get interesting – the “Double Vision” episodes. For those previous years, the character and the series were generally focused on games from the Nintendo Entertainment System, with some branching out Sega Genesis and Super NES topics with only …

The Difference Between A Fun And An Annoying Titanfall 2 Match – How Your Opponents Play
As I mentioned sometime last week, I’ve been playing Titanfall 2 quite a bit the past month or so, really getting into the grit of the online multiplayer scene. Coming in 2 years late I’ve naturally had a rough start, but I’ve gotten into a groove with the game, refined my play style, figured out …

Repairing Broken Links On The “Psycho Family” Documentary Articles
One of the older articles I’ve written here that tends to get steady traffic is the April 2017 article I wrote on the release of the Documentary for the Psycho Series by YouTube user McJuggernuggets. This (and a review article which, oddly, never seems to get hits – go figure) happened to include links to …

Angry Video Game Nerd Episode 43: The Wizard Of Oz – Episode Review
The Wizard Of Oz episode of The Angry Video Game Nerd is one I consider somewhat pivotal at the very least in my personal experience with the series, as this is actually the first episode of AVGN which I saw when it was new. I recall a friend and his brother watching it in early …

I Had A Better Article Planned, Then I Decided To Clean My Keyboard…
So, to give you the short version of the story, I spent about 2 or 3 hours today (mixed with a few other things) cleaning up a keyboard for one of my computers. It was a recently purchased Apple A1048 Keyboard which was purchased in a dirty state. I thought, since I had the time …

Scouring Old Hard Drives In The Middle Of The Night
Oh, dang, I’ve got like 20 minutes to crank out an article before we hit midnight. Time for another “eh, let’s just get this out to keep up my 1 article per day challenge” entry! Right now I’m scouring through some old hard drives from various computers which I’ve gotten over the years – some …

I’ve Got Nothing For Today, So Here’s A GIF Of Echidnas Drinking
Right, this is where you would normally have a post containing substantial content, but I’m not feeling up tot he challenge today, and rather than fail on day 5 of my “post every single day in September” challenge, I felt now would be as good a time as ever to break out this animated gif …

So I’ve Been Playing Quite A Bit Of Titanfall 2 Lately
It’s funny, for a blog with a moderate focus on gaming I don’t actually write about my own time playing games all that often. That’s quite probably due to the fact that I rarely actually spend that much time actually playing games – sometimes taking breaks spanning multiple months between times when I’ll seriously fire …
