I’m going to make this a short one, as not only am I writing it with a bit of a time crunch but I’m also pretty set on what October will consist of. I used September as a month to get back into the groove of writing, after several months taking a bit of a …

I Tried To Preorder An Xbox Series S – That Went Down Like A Lead Balloon
Can’t blame me for trying, right? This morning I got up and waited for the stroke of 10 A.M. central time for Xbox Series S/X preorders to begin, hoping there was a chance I might be able to secure one. I failed in that task. Trust me, I wasn’t seriously expecting to actually snag one, …

Why I’ve Chosen To Get The Xbox Series S
Gaming is, very clearly from this site, a major hobby of mine, at least in the context of it’s very important to me. I actually don’t play games as often as one would think – I spend quite a bit of time working on various projects and rarely actually find time to sit down and …

New Look, Same Great Taste! (Or, How To Update Your Websites Look Without Really Trying)
If you’ve visited the site before, you know I like to update the look of things from time to time. That’s common – everyone does that, be it an individual and one of their social media accounts or a business completely rebranding itself (like Intel did recently.) In my case, I wanted to freshen up …

What’s Coming For September 2020 On Xadara
Time to enter another month of what has to be one of, if not the single craziest year of our lives. September 2020 is looking to be another wild time in the real world and as an escape from all of that I’m happy to say I’m about ready to get the ball rolling, as …

The Return
I mentioned in the last post that I’ve been, quite literally, putting off the inevitable of getting back to publishing content to this site. It is, after all, my “main” presence online – my hobby, my method of expression to the greater world. It’s certainly not something I’m just going to give up, even if …

Putting Off The Inevitable
I’ve been doing an incredibly good job at accomplishing absolutely nothing over the past few months with regards to this website. It’s one of those cases where once you break the habit of working on it, you never get back to it. That hasn’t been intentional, but the past 4 months have been quite transformative …

Moving Forward
Over the past few months I’ve written very little. I’ve been making a lot of time for myself, working on some other projects which I intend to write about here and, most critically, somewhat stepping away from so many things which are a source of stress in my life. Be it stupidity online, situations in …

Hanging In There
It’s been damn near two weeks since my last update, and I just wanted to chime in and say I’m fine and things are okay on a whole, beyond the fact it’s nearly 100 degrees every damn day now (38 Celsius for those of you in the rest of the world) and that’s incredibly exhausting …

Shit Just Keeps Getting Worse – Pandemic Log 7-7-202
This is just a post to update readers that things are as fine as they can be on my end of things. The world is in a hell of a state right now — well, mainly the US is. The continued political strife is as heated as ever and, exactly as anyone with any sense …

Whats Coming For July 2020 On Xadara
Well, when I said I was taking a break and just “going with the flow” in June, I didn’t think it would be that extreme. Yes, I published a few entries, and took time for other things, but certainly took more time for myself than I intended. Ah well, it happens. So, moving on to …

The State Of Xadara And What I’ve Been Working On – 6/18/2020
I’ve not written much this month as I’ve been recently taking quite a bit of time to just indulge in some other hobbies of mine and detach from all the chaos going on in the world right now. I covered this in a bit of detail in a previous entry, and touched on some of …

The Hell With Mandatory HTTPS And Google!
The fact that Google has so much power over how people run their websites is nothing short of a travesty to the very nature of the world wide web. They, in effect, strong arm website authors and administrators into using various techniques and standards or face some kind of search or display penalty, even if …

Shit’s Crazy Out There – Better Make Some Time For Myself
Unless you’ve been living under a rock you’d have to be aware of the rather chaotic state that things are in in the United States right now – between the COVID-19 pandemic we’ve also had yet another issue of police oppression and this one seems to be the straw that broke the camels back, as …

What’s Coming For June 2020 On Xadara
It would be just like me to not get the “what’s coming” article for the next month out until we’re already 3 days in the month, but what can I say, I’ve been working on other projects the past few days and really making some headway into some things that I will, hopefully, write about …
